This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions for BareLedger (the “Service”), operated by Syneria Technologies OPC, and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Try before you pay
BareLedger offers a Free Forever plan with no time limit and no credit card required. The free plan is the intended way to evaluate the Service before purchasing a paid subscription. We encourage you to confirm that the Service meets your needs on the free plan before upgrading.
2. Payments are non-refundable
Except as set out in Section 4 below, all subscription fees are non-refundable once charged. This includes:
- partially used monthly or annual billing periods;
- downgrades from a higher plan to a lower plan mid-period;
- unused features, seats, or usage allowances; and
- cancellations made after a renewal has been charged.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from your billing settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you retain paid features until then, and no further charges are made.
- After the period ends, your account reverts to the Free Forever plan and your data remains accessible subject to the free plan's limits and applicable statutory retention rules.
- To avoid being charged for a renewal, cancel before your renewal date.
4. Exceptions — when we will refund
We will issue a refund or billing correction where:
- Duplicate or erroneous charges — you were charged more than once for the same period, charged an incorrect amount, or charged after a properly completed cancellation;
- Billing system error — a fault in our billing or our payment processor's systems resulted in an incorrect charge; or
- Required by law — a refund is required under applicable mandatory law, including the Philippine Consumer Act and any non-waivable consumer-protection law of your own jurisdiction.
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through the payment processor that handled your charge (Paddle or PayMongo). Processing times depend on your payment method and bank.
5. Failed payments and grace period
If a renewal payment fails, we retry collection during a seven (7) day grace period. If payment is not completed within the grace period, your subscription may be suspended or downgraded to the free plan. Charges successfully collected during the grace period are for the current billing period and are not refundable under Section 2.
6. How to request a billing correction
- Email inquiries@syneria.ph from the email address associated with your account.
- Include your organization name, the transaction reference or receipt, and a description of the issue.
- Submit requests within thirty (30) days of the charge in question so we can investigate promptly.
- We aim to respond within five (5) business days.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in advance and apply from your next billing period. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest revision.
