> Who these guides are for, how they are organized, and the few ideas that make everything else click.

Welcome! BareLedger is where your business's day-to-day money movements get recorded and kept in order — money coming in, money going out, and everything that needs to balance in between. This guide walks you through using it, written for the people who actually click the buttons every day, not for developers.

## Who this guide is for

- **Owners and administrators** — set up the company, add teammates, and configure how things work.
- **Accountants and everyday staff** — record sales, bills, expenses, and bank activity.
- **Approvers and reviewers** — double-check things before they become final.
- **Viewers and auditors** — look things up without changing anything.

What you personally can see and do depends on the role someone gave you when you were added to the organization. If a page or button mentioned in this guide doesn't show up for you, it's almost always because your role doesn't include it yet — not a bug. Ask an administrator on your team if you think you should have access.
